At our recent San Joaquin Valley Winegrowers Annual Forum, the head of a major California winery declared, in public, that as an industry, we have to make better wines – and more wines real people want to drink, especially to strongly compete with foreign imports at home, here in the U.S.A.

We at the San Joaquin Valley Winegrowers Association hear this message, and with this in mind, are excited to announce our 8th Annual California Wine Competition, here in Fresno – the key test-market city west of the Mississippi.  The competition is scheduled for April 20, 2012.

All California Wines are eligible for entry into this competition, and calls for entries will go out in February.  This is your opportunity to partner with the Association as we actively look for the best wines from California soils to match up with the buying, wine-wanting consumer.
